It is adjustable for different sizes of skeins, from 40 in to 60 in. The easy to turn crank handle and the 4 flat yarn surfaces make it an excellent choice for winding even skeins for dyeing. Works well as a swift, for unwinding too! Be careful when loosening the center size regulator, not to loosen too much, just enough to loosen arms for re sizing. Clamps to table
