Korn debut RIAA Gold Album Award Deen Castronovo Released on June 24RIAA Gold Award for the debut album from Korn. The album was released on Oct. 11, 1994 and was certified Gold by the RIAA on Jan. 29, 1996 for 500,000 copies sold. Hard to find award celebrating Korn's very first success. The singles "Blind", "Need To", "Shoots and Ladders" and "Clown" all performed well, helping the album to a successful launch for the band. It peaked at #72 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart after topping the Heatseekers chart.
