Made to Order Orage (Storm) Peony Dinnerware chicago pottery This vase is made fromA dinnerware set inspired by the fluffy warm breath of Spring. This project was conceived to capture that fleeting first bouquet of the peony flower. I spent a week throwing porcelain plates, and carving each piece to emulate the pillowy layers of paper thin petals, surrounded by their unearthly scent. Process: The initial set was cast in plaster, creating a mold from which successive pieces can be made. The porcelain clay is now pressed into the mold
