Someone once hung this horizontally and it suddenly transformed from bark into a sunset beach scene that was almost better than the vertical orientation

I started this little acrylic painting on a lovely spring day

It has a vague tree like structure which was an element I pulled from the poem. We were going to publish a book at one point that would have been a collaboration of words and images, and maybe that will still happen one day but for now there is just this one painting.
