It has 2 features to help prevent cross loading the first is the 'Rhino Horn' on the back of the 'biner. This helps to prevent some locking assisted belay devices moving around the 'biner and crossloading it. The second is the clip at the bottom of the carabiner opening downwards this spring loaded clip will cause the carabiner to default to the correct orientation on a belay
