This is at once refined yet entirely serious and at least some patience will be required

this is not to say that it is an elegant wine though it is less youthfully austere than I typically find with this wine

Black plums, dark cherries and a hint of red pepper. Tight but transparent on the palate with an ample but linear finish. Tightly clutched at the end. Really structured and mineral. Nothing heavy here. Drink or hold.
