Meiji Period Shou Sugi Ban Bo Dansu From Sakata Ceramics It is made from rosewoodHere we have a striking antique, Japanese Bo Dansu, dating back to the Meiji period (1868 1912). Constructed by a team of three talented artisans; a carpenter, ironworkers and a lacquer worker using kiri (paulownia wood) favoured for its natural moisture regulating and insect repelling properties.
